EMABG student group 2019

23/08/2019

Looking back at an exciting first week of the EMABG Welcome Course at Georg-August-University (UGOE) in Göttingen/Germany

Following months of preparation, we finally met the first intake of EMABG students. We are very happy about our choice! After being welcomed by EMABG Coordinator Gábor Mészarós, students were presented with insights in the European Academic System and the European and global dimension of animal breeding. They got to meet representatives of all six Consortium Members and were introduced to the scientific research done at their universities. At the same time, student displayed their brilliant work and experiences in the form of poster presentations. A city tour in the cellars of Göttingen and an interactive (Pub) Quiz provided fun opportunities for getting to know each other. We are looking forward to Week Number 2.

Just concluded our two-week joint EMABG Welcome Course and Summer School held online at BOKU. We were so happy to reunite with EMABG 2019 students and equally happy to meet the EMABG 2020 intake.

The second part of recording for the virtual excursion was equally exciting. We visited the beautiful region of Eastern Styria and got insights into milk testing, cow and sheep breeding and artificial insemination.
