Behind the scenes of our video excursion on cow breeding in Austria

The second part of recording for our virtual excursion was equally exciting. This time we visited the beautiful region of Eastern Styria. We saw the milk quality laboratory in St. Michael, a brown Swiss/Holstein farm with a milking robot and a Fleckvieh-breeding farm. In addition, we recorded a herd of Murboden cows on the scenic mountain pasture of “Teichalm”. Our trip concluded with an excursion to a sheep farm and a visit to the artificial insemination station of Genostar in Gleisdorf. Our thanks goes to Peter Stückler for the great organisation and making all the interesting contacts. Many thanks to all farms and organisations and the excellent support from the BOKU media team!
